Press Release Marketing

Press release marketing is something that many business owners don’t think about too often. Press releases are a great way to get the message out on a much grander scale than what’s typically possible through our own channels as business owners.

One technique that we have recently discovered that works well is to find an industry organization and see if you can work together with them to be included in their press releases that go out. Almost every single industry has an organization or multiple organizations founded around them.

So whether it’s the homeowners association or the roofers association, plumbing association, etc they’re going to have press releases that they put out on a regular basis. And press release marketing focuses on offering some value either in trade or some information that’s newsworthy for them to include in their press releases.

What we did was work with one of the industry associations for web design called Design Rush. We offered them back links on our website through blog posts in exchange for them rolling out press releases Nationwide. It’s worked out rather well and we have gotten notices through our Google alerts that are company SkyPoint Studios is being mentioned on different publications in several different states.

This is a great way to get your name out there and have more citations online. The way Google works with ranking is that the more citations that you have for your business, the better your business is going to do in Google search. This is why press releases can be a huge deal and it’s something that most business owners can take advantage of.

Press release marketing is a strategy that can be paid or can be free, like what we have found in exchange for links. If you end up paying for press releases, that’s also a good strategy as long as it becomes a good return on investment.
