Recently I’ve had the pleasure of being selected by the Billings Job Service Vocational Program to serve as their web developer for new business ventures. Most of the people going through the vocational program at Job Service are going back into the work force, but a small amount, around 2%, will start new businesses. The Montana government has set aside funds to assist these folks with some of the start up costs associated with starting a new business. Some of the new businesses need materials and supplies and most need marketing like websites and logos.
The website and online marketing is where I come in and get them up and rolling in their new business venture. The most recent candidate in the vocational program is Tammy Schulz an artist who specializes in wildlife scenes on antiques and wood carving. She is also very good at oil paintings, doing mostly wildlife scenery. I wanted to create some Montana mystique for her website, so a brown palette and torn edges got the mood set for her art work.
More will be added to the site as we develop it and she finishes more pieces. Please check out her work and make a purchase if you feel so inclined. Thanks for supporting art in Montana and a local artist getting established!
Do you know someone who would be a good candidate for the Job Service vocational program’s business incubator?
