Calls to action on a website are extremely important! Basically a call to action is a button or link that invites the user to take a particular action.
Websites need these to convert visitor traffic into actions that will help the business such as a phone call, filling out a form, downloading a report, making a purchase, etc.
Websites that are successful use calls to action to initiate the type of action that will generate the business goals that are important to the owner.
Typical places to place a call to action button are on the main slider, which is right when the visitor lands on the website. As the visitor goes down the page, they’ll be different sections in hierarchy of importance with calls to action on them.
What do we want the visitor to do on the website? Do we want them to register for an event, download a whitepaper, sign up for a newsletter or for classes, purchase a product, etc. those are all going to be calls to action.
Good websites help to guide the visitor to the areas that they need for what they’re looking for through the proper calls to action. Bad websites do not have the right calls to action and will frustrate visitors and often times they will leave and go to a competitor instead.
Does your website have the proper calls action?
This is an important question to ask and something that I can help you evaluate. Here at SkyPoint Studios we do website analysis to check to see if the website is set up properly with the right calls to action so that it can be successful and convert visit traffic into business.
The more we optimize the website in this manner the better the business will do annually. There should be a direct correlation between the amount of traffic a website receives and the amount of actions that visitors complete. The more completed actions, the better the business revenue.
