There are many different technologies and trends being used for web design in 2019. I would like to first start off talking about some of the top trends taking place. Many website designers are using serif fonts rather than sans fonts for their websites. Although serif text is often used for print work rather than website design, people are starting to use it more in the headers and call-outs.
The next innovative trend going on in the web design industry is black and white pictures and designs. Often times web designers will use color on their website, because as humans that is how we see the world. Black and white brings out a different perspective, this innovative design makes textures and shapes become clearer.
Another interesting trend is the combination of black and white with color sprinkled in. By adding some color it brings about a unique design and makes your website pop in the areas you want people to see most. This helps draw the eye to points that are important on a website and focuses people’s’ attention on specific details. Natural, organic shapes are making a big appearance in 2019, focusing on smooth lines rather than the systematic grids websites normally follow. This allows for websites to have a sense of depth and use more nature designs that might be found in nature. They are not perfect in nature which can make them more human and alive. An example of this might be the curve of a mountain side in the background or paint splattered across the screen.
A very interesting trend taking place in 2019 is the comeback of glitch artwork. A website might feature a moving picture that has a glitch in it. One example may be a a clock on the main page of the website that glitches continuously, causing a very interesting illusion. The idea of glitch art is to focus the eyes on this imperfect design occurring on the website and to demonstrate the feeling of disorientation with psychedelic designs. This trend represents the human fear of robots taking over, but the desire and need we have for them in this up and coming futuristic world. Micro-interactions are an interesting way to engage users in a website with sounds and reactions to where the mouse goes.
Micro-interactions are all over the different social media platforms we use today. On facebook users are seeing micro-interactions when their red notification icon pops up and are experiencing it when a noise occurs when a user refreshes their twitter page. This is an innovative way to get users to interact and provide information about a users actions on the website. Video content is another fast growing trend in 2019. Consumers are always on the move and busy not having time to read a full text. With the introduction of videos users can listen or watch on the move and get a firm understanding of what the website offers or is about.
There are so many more amazing web design trends happening in 2019, but these are some of the top ones that can help a website stand out. Now I would like to move into the major web design technologies being used in 2019. The first technology to discuss is the use of HTML. This is very crucial, because it is the coding used to make a website. Through HTMLs we can set up the layout of a website, create links to certain things, and add in pictures. In the web design world it is very important to understand how to use HTML and discover how to set up the coding to create the best websites for clients. The most current version of HTML standard is the HTML5. The HTML5 also absorbs the XHTML into it. XHTML is the language in which websites are based on and made up of. The next technology to discuss is CSS. This technology can be used to control how a website looks on a computer, mobile devices, tablets, and even TV.
The last web design technology I would like to discuss is PHP. This is a great source for web designers, because it is a free, open-source software. The best part about using PHP is the ability for it to adapt and change allowing it to more easily adapt to changing software in the future. That is it today for the discussion on new technology and trends being used in 2019 for web design. I hope this article helps new web designers and experienced designers come up with new ways to spice up clients websites and create the best business for themselves.
