Facebook SEO trick is a good title right? This Facebook SEO trick has to do with using Facebook groups to gain more SEO for your website. There are many popular Facebook groups, and they have tons and tons of posts every single day.
One of the popular Facebook groups in Billings is called Billings Customer Service Watchdog. On this Facebook group, members will ask for recommendations for different local businesses. I often drop a referral for our clients or for other businesses that I work with that I want to refer.
But the Facebook SEO trick is actually dropping the website URL, for example https://skypointwebdesignbillingsmontana.com/ on these popular posts. Many people will just drop the name of the business they recommend or the person they recommend or even the Facebook page that they recommend, but none of these will actually offer any SEO value.
When a link is dropped on Facebook, it is not considered the same in SEO to an actual link on the web, as Facebook is a closed garden. What do I mean by that? basically none of the back links on Facebook actually count as actual links because Facebook does not allow them to index as such and therefore Google doesn’t pick up on it.
However, Google is regularly monitoring social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and many more for mentions of business names to get an overall heat value index of how popular that business is compared to other businesses that are similar to it.
When a website link for a business is dropped on a popular page like Billings Customer Service Watchdog and there are many viewers checking it out, that offers a lot of SEO value in Google’s eyes. So this is one half of the Facebook SEO trick, the other part of it has to do with how many people will actually click on the link and go to the website.
The more clicks you get to your website, the better it’s going to have as far as SEO value. We all know that traffic to a website is something that Google tracks for SEO value and the more traffic the better as far as competition is concerned.
Basically you want to be the most popular website in your category or industry and you’ll have a better chance of ranking at the top of the Google search results. So that’s what I have for this Facebook SEO trick, obviously there’s going to be other SEO tricks out there and I will share those with you in this blog.
