Spam call SEO has to be one of the strangest SEO techniques I’ve ever developed. It struck me the other day when I received a spam call soliciting SSL certificates.
The gentleman who called me asked me if we do SSL certificates and was hoping to become a vendor so that we can sell his SSL certificates.
I explained that I already have a really good vendor for this and that we were not currently shopping for this particular product. When I got off the phone with him, I was hit with an inspiration for a clever SEO technique.
What I figure is I’m getting all these spam calls from people who want to do white label development services or sell something to my clients, so why not set up a vendor application form on my website.
The idea is the next time someone calls to sell me a service, I will explain to them that in order to even consider their offer, I will need them to fill out our vendor application form located on our website.
So what I did was build a vendor application form.
Why does this work well for SEO?
One of the main ranking factors for SEO is website traffic. The more website traffic your website gets, the better it’s going to do in Google search and other search engines.
So if I am routing all of the spam phone calls that I get into traffic on my website, I am essentially making spam call SEO.
I know it sounds crazy, but if you wanna win in this digital world, you really need to step outside the box and do innovative things like this!
