To blog or not to blog

Blog or not? That is a question many businesses are asking these days. It’s understandable that businesses may be wondering what this blogging stuff is and why it would offer any value to the business. In this article, I’m going to try and answer this question with some evidence as to why blogging is a crucial component to success on the web these days.
Many websites today have the ability to blog built in already, such as the WordPress or Drupal platforms. Since the technology is already in place, should your business be blogging?
Well, blogging is super crucial to the ability of Google to understand the day-in and day-out actions of the blog business. Without a timeline stamp that blogs provide, the content will always be considered to be flat, timeless, and unchanging. A blog by its very nature is changing and documenting the timeline events of the business or website.
So I highly recommend that businesses get involved with a blog, like what I am writing now. This website has over 250 posts on it and has been running for almost 7 years. It is one of the main reasons why our company is ranked as #1 in Billings.
Continuing to update old blog posts is a really good idea as well. For example, this post has been updated 2 years after it was published. That’s what this part here is, the addition.
The more a post is updated with current information or additional information, the better it is going to do in search engines. I go back and add more info and update old posts to current information regularly. Give it a shot!
