How to Turn Facebook Group SEO Comments Into Value

Did you know that Facebook group SEO can be very valuable for your business?

I was tagged the other day by my sister in a Facebook group where someone was asking for web design services. It was really nice of my sister to tag me in that conversation, but there were already 31 other people who had replied with their businesses. So, it wasn’t super likely that I was going to get the business.

But the reason I made a post there was for the SEO value, and I’m going to explain in this article how Facebook group SEO works.

Basically, when someone asks for a specific service, you have the opportunity to reply, and what you reply with is super important when it comes to keywords. It works much like how Google Search works.

Instead of just saying, “Hey, yeah, we can help you with that,” it’s best to provide more information. In my case, I would say something like, “We’re a web design agency. We’ve been serving these markets since 2013, and we specialize in WordPress.”

Some of these keywords are going to help, and most importantly, we’re going to leave the website link.

Every single time you give a shout-out to another business, including your own business, in Facebook groups, you should always leave the website link last. That’s very, very important because that website link creates value, or what I call a heat signature, around it.

Now, the actual link itself does not directly gain you SEO value. It doesn’t work like that because Facebook has what’s called a nofollow link system, meaning that it doesn’t pass any actual SEO juice to your website.

So how do you actually get Facebook group SEO value?

Well, first of all, some people may click on the link. They might be other competitors, the original poster, or other viewers. They may be curious, click on your link, and you get traffic from that. The more traffic your website gets, the better your SEO value is going to be.

Secondly, there’s actually a heat signature that Google and AI look at when determining who they should rank as an authority. The more often your particular name or website gets mentioned on social media or the web in general, the higher your heat signature is. The more likely they are to consider you an authority, and the better your rankings will be, especially when it comes to AI search, which is becoming more and more valuable these days.

AI basically looks at the authority level of a particular business. It’s not just looking at ranking factors like traditional, old SEO. It’s actually looking at authority, and authority has a lot to do with how many people are mentioning your business at any given time and how they feel about your business.

So it’s really important that you post your company information with keywords included, while making sure everything sounds natural. You don’t want to sound unnatural. At the very end, when you’ve finished providing all the information about your business, you’re going to put your website link.

Now, when someone tags you in one of these Facebook group posts, you can reply underneath their tag and say, “Thank you so much for recommending me,” or whatever you want to say to thank them.

But don’t respond to the original poster underneath the tag of the person who tagged you.

Instead, go back out to the main post and leave a new comment with all the information about how you could help the original poster. And, like I said, finally leave your website link.

That way, you’re actually commenting twice on the post. The first comment is to thank the person who tagged you. The second is to create a brand-new comment thread where you’re leaving information about how you would help that particular person.

And finally, one more time, I’m going to say it again: leave your website link. That’s the most important part of how we get the actual value out of this.
