Is your business on TikTok and posting regularly?
I think it’s really time to start thinking about getting on TikTok! There has been some controversy and people have claimed that because it’s a Chinese based company they don’t want to be on the platform. However, I think taking advantage of it is such a good idea for exposure for your business.
No other platform besides TikTok will push your business and your content as far as TikTok will with its algorithm currently. We don’t know how long this is going to last for as most platforms start with a very aggressive algorithm push, and then move tighter and tighter.
In the beginning days of Facebook or Instagram, it was easy to get lots of exposure for your business just by creating a post. Nowadays, you can barely get any exposure on the platform by creating a post without sponsoring it and paying those platforms to do so.
That’s why I think the clock is really ticking to get on TikTok and start creating content for the platform. You can do what I do, which is the create a post that goes on TikTok but also goes to all your other platforms. I post on several different platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Alignable, Threads and TikTok.
The more you post, the better it’s going to be for your business exposure and the more likes you will get. TikTok is unique in that it counts the amount of likes that your content gets. This is one of the metrics that you want to show that you’re active on the platform. It does not count posts like the way that Instagram does, instead counts likes and followers.
I believe this encourages you to make content that people would like a lot. For example, I made one video about how to leave a group message on the iPhone and it has garnered over 100,000 views and 1,600 likes. This has been major engagement that I was not able to get on any of the other platforms that I put that exact same video on.
This stands out as a great example of why TikTok is so powerful for exposure these days, and something that you need to take advantage of as soon as possible before it dries up. It’s possible to sponsor a post on TikTok and get views and likes if you want as well and the cost is pretty reasonable, only around $12-$15 to get about 2 to 3000 views and couple hundred likes.
