LinkedIn Secret Gains Business

There is a pretty cool LinkedIn secret that can gain more business. Did you know that you can join LinkedIn’s Profinder and get listed on their website for free?

Okay it might not be a LinkedIn secret, you might actually know about this and be on there. But for a lot of people they don’t know. LinkedIn Profinder is a free service that hooks up people who are searching for professionals in their area with your profile on LinkedIn.

If you have the appropriate skills your profile will pull up in the search results. So for a lot of people, who have been working there LinkedIn profiles they are going to be able to apply for the program and get accepted and then they will come up in search results for when people are looking for specific business professionals.

For example, when I was searching for web developers in Billings I noticed that people from Missoula we’re coming up and not that many from Billings were on Profinder. I was interested in how to sign up and found the link rather easily:

Go to your LinkedIn profile and click the Work link in the upper right-hand corner menu there will be a drop down menu and from that drop down select ProFinder.

On the upper right hand corner click on the drop-down of your profile icon and then click on the link “Are you a pro?”

Fill out the profile, it’s really simple and quick and easy to do and submit and that’s it!
