Trends in web design for this year are cooking up to be quite unique. This year AI is on the forefront of everyone’s minds and that’s really where the web is going to be going forward.
People are using AI generated engines like chatGPT to create whole website layouts and code snippets. This is going to be a trend, moving forward as we use AI to generate images, text and other elements of the website.
Now AI can only do some of the lifting, and one of the downsides of AI is it does not generate very high quality SEO-friendly websites. It’s still important for a human to write certain pieces of content so that is definitely going to be part of trends in web design for 2023.
Here at SkyPoint Studios, we are leveraging AI to write some things like filler text or copyrights or other text that is not SEO related. Anything that is search engine optimization related that needs to be properly written by a human we do not use AI for that.
Other web design trends are moving everything forward to extreme use cases such as having any screen size work for displaying a website such as a billboard are very large movie theater screen. Also making a website so that it could be possibly viewed on a mobile watch or small devices is also on the radar.
As the Internet of Things (IoT) becomes more and more popular, it will become necessary to have your website available on all kinds of devices, even on smart speakers, where it can read off snippets from your website, if it’s a properly optimize to do so.
In the future people will simply say “hey Google, tell me about such a such” and the company website will pull up accordingly based on what has been indexed and deliver the answer.
If you need help optimizing your website for the upcoming changes for smart speakers, smart watches or other devices, then you can contact us at SkyPoint Studios and we can help you to program a website that will fit into these trends in web design.
What other trends are we keep an eye on? Well, mostly it’s AI that is the big one but also we are looking at making sure accessibility is packed into every design. Making websites fully accessible is becoming a big deal as far as screen readers and other devices that may use the web to make it accessible.
Many companies such as LG are shifting to consumer devices that allow anyone to use them, including a robot featured at CES (the largest technology show in the World, that comes to Las Vegas every January) that helps users to navigate through an airport with braille and audio features for those people who need that type of assistance.

So with the trends in web design in 2023 it’s important to make sure that your website is accessible to anyone who may come upon it. This is a great idea for SEO purposes, but it’s also to keep your company in the proper legal realm with accessibility.
